Northwestern University has extended its collaboration with Via, a prominent mobility technology provider, to provide complimentary transportation services to Northwestern students within campus premises and the neighboring Evanston area during evening and night hours.
How Does Safe Ride Work?
- The service operates akin to a rideshare platform, offering pick-up at your specified location and drop-off at your desired destination. Simply input your pickup and drop-off details, then select the ride option that suits you best!
Already have a Via account?
- Enjoy the same familiar service with a fresh twist in the newly enhanced Safe Ride app. Download the Safe Ride app and log in using your NetID and password.
What Are the Costs for Trips?
- Rides are complimentary for eligible students. Visit Northwestern's Safe Ride page for further details.
What Is the Average Waiting Time?
- You will always receive an accurate estimation of your pick-up ETA before confirming your booking.
- Furthermore, you can monitor your ride's progress in real-time through the app.
